Its funny how I’ve always found colours can be linked to every aspect of our lives. But, what even are colours? Different wavelengths of light? It’s almost as if they make everything up. As Arthur Conan Doyle talked about the art of “Deduction”. Deduce everything around you and its just atoms. Could be the hard physical world around you or the hormones that make you feel things. All of it atoms. The world is a made up place. The atoms around you reflect the light at different wavelengths. Id like to believe us humans as light itself. We come in waves we come in particles. The different instances we have as children are different atoms and the way they effect us gives a different wavelength to our personality following the third law of motion, therefore giving it a colour. Every person has a colour of their own. Not just a colour they look good in but also the colour other people feel around them. It could make you feel calm and stern like the colour blue or could make you feel happy and safe like the colour green. Every human around me is light and their actions, colours. In fact not just a colour but everyone has their own colour palette consisting of different shades and tints of similar colours. Sounds foolish but think about it for a second. A colour palette of a person that not just describes their aesthetic or fashion choices but also matches their personality, height, sense of humor, physical appearance, music taste etc. and it just somehow makes sense. The vibrant parts depict the various light tints and the darker shades depict the traumatized or troubled side.
Using colours to describe a person is bizarre but bear with me a little and it might make sense to you. Now, if you can relate, imagine a person that has an orange palette and one that has a purple one. These two are beautiful shades in their own way but might not go together aesthetically. Now do you think the two people you imagined would get along? (If they would then I’m sorry for making you read all this but if you think i was right I’m so glad. ) Both the colours are distinguished but might not get along. Now, both the colours do go with a similar colour that could be let’s say white. That would mean both the colours orange and purple can have common grounds too. Some similarities might even help them get along with someone who radiates white but maybe not at the same time.
Linking colour theory to people, psychology and relationships is just something that makes sense to me plus its funny to think that way. Imagine saying “This person is just red” and giving them a shade instead of saying “This person is angry all the time” or is just “aggressive”. Sounds comforting and less objective in my opinion. This is a bizarre theory. Not even a theory but a thought that I came up with. Makes it easy for me to understand people and forgive them. After all he’s just Red. He’s just a human. He’s made up. His personality and relationships are just wavelengths of his past. He is light just like us all.
